Cherry Blossom Festival (DC)

Dan and I headed down to the Nation’s capital to see what the trees had to offer us. Needless to say, it rained for most of the day and the views were limited. Check out the pics I took here.

I celebrate my birthday today knowing that the old site is forever buried and gone, replaced by the more awesome wordpress site (can I be hip and call it “werd press”?)

Benefits to the new site:
- Searchable! Trying to find that trip I took through Glacier National Park? Now you (and I) can find it that much easier.
- RSS feeds. Don’t worry about checking back every so often to see if I’ve done anything. When I post up new pages, I’ll put up something here so that those who follow will get notified automatically
- Comments! I love comments and questions (especially nice ones)
- Quick edits! I can now edit my site quickly and easily. See something blatantly wrong? Let me know and I can fix it easy-peasy!

I think I’m done (for now)

I’ve gone back and forth with the old site and this one, and just about everything has been moved over. There are some less-than-stellar rides that I felt wouldn’t be missed that have been left behind. If, for some chance, you know of something that I posted before but don’t see here, let me know and I’ll add it in.

Germany!

Dan and I went to Germany last spring and I’m just now getting around to posting up about the trip. It was short, and no motorcycles were involved, but it was a great chance to explore some more of Europe.

Going live – slowly

I’ve put the notice up on the original site (www.DantesDame.com) stating that things would slowly be migrating to this site. Most importantly, there will be no new updates on the old site. Of course, winter is about to set in here, so there won’t be much to update anyway. But I’ll spend the time moving my stuff over, so maybe come spring it’ll be complete and be ready to be expanded!

My newest “work in progress”

I enjoyed working in Dreamweaver to create my website, but I’m using the PC less and less (I’m rapidly becoming a Mac fan) and I can’t create the pages on my laptop. So I’m going to give WordPress a go, hoping that my site doesn’t look too generic. Once again, I am telling myself just to learn HTML and get exactly what I want out of this site’s presentation. Winter is coming – perhaps now will be the time!
